  • 5.00am – 5.45am: Transfer from rendezvous to takeoff point Ballooning Itinerary.

  • The launch and picturesque landscape at sunrise, as nature awakens to the first rays of the new day is the reward to an early start.

  • 7.30am – 8.00am: Landing…. the smiling faces and hearty welcomes of the local villagers coming to greet you is an unexpected delight

  • 8.15am – 8.30am: Coming down to earth and the reality of returning to life as seen from the ground.

  • Proceed to Polonnaruwa to visit ancient ruins.

  • Visit Polonnaruwa the second capital of Sri Lanka from 1017 A.D to 1235 A.D. Polonnaruwa is also a UNESCO world heritage city. You will be able to see the ruins of Royal Palace king Parakramabahu, Audience Hall, the statue of king Parakramabahu, Watadage, the Galpotha, Parakrama Samudraya (Sea of Parakrama) which was built by King Parakramabahu I, covers an area of 5940 acres and the elegant Lotus pond was built in 12th century.

    Sigiriya is treated as one of the most remarkable creations in the world, built by King Kashyapa (477-495 AD). Path through the gardens along Stone stairways come to the Lion Gate. Only the rock carving and the brick structure is evident today of the lion’s mouth through which millions of people have walked to admire the beauty of this magnificent citadel.

  • Visit, Dambulla Rock temple

    Dambulla Rock temple was built by King Walagambahu during the 1st Century B.C. Dambulla is a UENESCO world heritage site. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding and the paintings are done on the ceiling. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues 3 statues of Sri Lankan kings and 4 statues of god and goddess.

  • Transfer to Kandy

    Visit a spice garden in Matale to see different spices for which Sri Lanka is famous for. Clients will be able to see different spices and how some of these spices are grown and processed. Witness Cookery demonstrations as well; also visit ceramic show room matale.

  • Thereafter witness a cultural show (Kandy dance)

Horton Plains, the coldest and windiest location in Sri Lanka consists of ecosystems such as Montane evergreen forests, grasslands, marshy lands and aquatic ecosystem. At an altitude of 2,100 meters above sea level, & it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 30th July 2010.

The escarpment with a depth of 900 meters called World’s End and Baker’s Falls are the highlights of the Horton Plains.

The vegetation in the park comprises predominantly of semi-arid thorny scrub, interspersed with pockets of fairly dense secondary forest. Small patches of mangrove vegetation also occur along the coastal lagoons.

The park is renowned for the variety of its Wildlife (most notably its many elephants) and its fine coastline (with associated coral reefs). It also boasts a large number of important cultural ruins, bearing testimony to earlier civilizations and indicating that much of the area used to be populated and well developed.

Early morning transfer to Mirissa @ 5.30am . Transfer to Mirissa to Whale and dolphin watching.

Whale and dolphin watching are exciting and unique activities of Mirissa, and are the first and longest whale watching place on the south coast of Sri Lanka. The frequent sighting all year round has put Sri Lanka and the Mirrissa area on the worlds ‘Top Hot Spots’ for sperm and blue whale sightings. The blue whales are frequently seen during the first quarter off the South and West Coast of Sri Lanka, which is part of their migration pattern. The period between January and April is also a good time for dolphins. We often have been accompanied by pods of spinner dolphins during your trips.

High season is from December to March. At this time is water of the coast of Sri Lanka warm and calm.

  • Dutch Fort: Portuguese built the first fort to withstand attack from the Sri Lankan kingdoms to the north. The Dutch entrance to the fort with it VOC with 1669 carved in the inner archway is still in use.

  • Enjoy the beautiful scenery, play in the river, Jungle Walks, Adventurous water fall jumps / slides, White Water Rafting and have excellent rice and curry lunch at the local restaurants.

  • Inside the jungles of Kitulgala there are plenty of camping opportunities which can be coupled with White Water Rafting, Bird Watching Jungle Walks, River bathing and many adventure activities.

  • Colombo is the commercial and business center of Sri Lanka located on west cost. The city blends together with old colonial type building, high-rise commercial buildings and hotels. It is filled with shopping malls the Pettah bazaar – where one can shop for bargain. Some of the finest structures built during the colonial times still preserved in one part of the City.
